Brief Description: Safety wired the canopy release handle.
I have been in communications with a DAR from the San Diego area and he had emailed me his checklist for inspection. He had an item on the list which indicated that you should have your canopy release handle safety wired with copper breakaway wire. I did not have a spool of copper wire in the hangar so I stripped a piece of 22 awg wire to expose the copper stranded conductor and used it to safety wired the release handle to a screw on the panel. Also he pointed out that my data plate needs to match my registration exactly. My name on the data plate is John Robinson but on my registration it is Robinson John. Oh well, live and learn. I put a plate on order and I am having it drop shipped to the engraver. Hopefully it won't be much more than a week?
